AI Wildlife Monitoring Pipeline
How we capture, analyze, and verify biodiversity sightings at Bosque Corazón Fino
1. Upload & Cloud Ingestion
Footage captured in the reserve is uploaded to the cloud ingestion queue (either manually or via experimental cellular FTP transfer).
2. AI Processing
The cloud pipeline extracts smart frames and isolates audio recordings to identify and filter active wildlife events automatically.
3. Dual AI Models
Specialized models classify the species: Vertex AI Gemini 2.5 Flash analyzes vision cues, while BirdNET identifies birds via audio spectrograms.
4. Human Verification
Reserve data scientists review and manually approve every detection. Only verified sightings are published to ensure 100% data integrity.
